XL Axiata - Peak Performance

Our first programme for 2018 brought our Asia Ability team to Bandung, Indonesia, where we spent our time with XL Axiata. They are providers for data communication, broadband Internet, mobile communication and 3G services. Our team worked with 100 participants from the Indonesia-based mobile telecommunications services operator – coverage includes Java, Bali and Lombok, with its principal cities in and around Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

From the Intercontinental hotel, Bandung, Indonesia, Asia Ability facilitated Peak Performance, a tablet based interactive business game where teams take the role of Expedition Leader on a 20 day virtual expedition to summit Mount Everest. This programme relates closely to the key conference message -Unite to Ignite.

Peak Performance highlights team collaboration and challenges every individual to reach a solution together. XL Axiata did just that. As teams gathered together and worked out the best strategy to reach the summit and return to base without leaving anyone behind. The game influences teams to plan a strategic tactic due to the time constraint to accomplish the main objective. This encouraged analytical thinking, communication, attention to details and teamwork.
